A Spotlight on the Young and Talented Greek Singer Eva Papadaki

ATHENS – From as young as three years old, while most children were still learning to walk and talk, Eva Papadaki was already singing – and it wasn’t long before she realized she wanted to pursue it as a career.

Born on the beautiful island of Crete, Papadaki now calls Athens home, where she has established herself as a talented Greek singer and model – who also studies theater – and has a deep passion for all creative fields.

A longtime dream come true
In an interview with The National Herald, Papadaki explained how as someone who always wanted to make a career out of singing and had a supportive family by her side who also believed in her, her biggest inspirations in the music industry growing up included Adele and Sia.

“I was covering their songs all the time as a kid, until I developed my love for dance as well and pop music really took over,” Papadaki told TNH.
“Madonna, Rihanna, Beyonce, and Lady Gaga then became my absolute icons.”
As someone who’s been singing professionally for the last four years, the Greek singer shared how only this year has she been working on making her own music and releasing her own songs.
She expressed how throughout her musical journey, she has taken great pride in all she has achieved.

“I am really proud of every single step I’ve taken because everything led me to what I’m doing today. I think I would say the most special moment was me participating in the Voice of Greece and also being the first contestant to turn all four judges – my inner child was screaming.”
Inspired by experiences and life stories from her music idols, Papadaki shared how she loves to make music that touches people.
“I want to motivate them with my sound to allow them to feel happiness and freedom in all ways,” she expressed.

Papadaki’s love for music
Discussing what she loved most about music, the professional Greek singer shared “what I love most about music is the process of making it – of sitting down and writing all of my feelings until they turn into ideas and then words that I get to share with my team, and knowing it will be turned into something beautiful and real.”

“I believe music is the most important thing in life – I can’t see myself connecting with anything else deeper than I do with music,” Papadaki expressed.

Releasing hits and reaching major milestones
Being someone whose voice is not only recognized for belting out hit tracks but has also been featured on the popular Greek TV show Sasmos, Papadaki shared what it was like to see her song become part of such a successful Greek TV series.
“I had a great chance to sing a beautiful Greek song that was used as a soundtrack for the series,” she said.
“It was a beautiful experience working with such talented and kind people and having the opportunity of being heard and also seen acting and singing on TV. I was very young as well so it was kind of insane at that moment.”

Papadaki also recently released a hit single titled ‘Yamas’ alongside the multi-platinum Greek rapper and trap artist, Rack. When asked about how she felt to collaborate with the artist and bring this song to life, Papadaki said: “Yamas is something I am extremely proud of, and words can’t describe how happy I am. It felt like a dream to work with such an excellent artist and kind person like Rack and of course Beyond, who made it so magical.”

She shared that “we loved the sound right away and we immediately knew it was gonna be amazing. I am so overjoyed since the release, and everyone seems to be loving it as well.”

Goals as an artist
As someone who has been singing all her life, Papadaki expressed how her number one goal is to inspire other girls and show them that they should never stop – they should always follow their dreams.”

“Growing up with this passion, especially living in Greece, I always thought singing would be something hard for me to achieve and that I would have to move abroad,” she shared.
“No one knows, maybe life will take me abroad one day but the truth is you have to start from point zero, and that’s okay. With work and a love for what you do, everything is possible.”

Dream collaborations
Papadaki noted how there are several Greek artists that she hopes to work with sometime in the future.

Although she has some exciting news she can’t reveal yet regarding working with certain artists, she shared how her dream collabs are “Tyla, Addison, and Adéla.”

“Never say never, but that’s a really far goal for now,” she joked.

In a final comment shared to TNH, Papadaki said she wishes everyone the very best in achieving their goals and encourages them to “follow their heart and what makes them feel fulfilled.”
“Life is too short not to,” she added.
