A little taste of Greece is coming back to Mobile as the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church welcomes the community to Greek Fest 2026, Oct. 15-17.
The three-day festival will run from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, with curbside take-away service available from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The festival will offer free admission and free parking, along with live Greek music, church tours, a children’s area and local vendors.
This year’s festival will be cashless, with debit or credit transactions only.
The Mobile Greek Festival traces its roots to 1962, when a group of parishioners formed a committee to host the first Greek Night. The one-night event was held at Shrine Hall and its success led to an annual event. Greek Night eventually evolved into the Bazaar and later into the three-day festival held today.
For the Mobile Greek community, the festival is more than a chance to enjoy a plate of Greek food. It is an opportunity to share a culture and traditions that have deep roots in the city.
The festival will feature Greek dancing by local youth, live music from Greek bands and food based on recipes passed down through generations.
Organizers said the festival allows members of the community to connect with their heritage while sharing it with their neighbors.
Festivalgoers can also explore the church through tours and browse offerings from local vendors, giving visitors plenty to see between bites.
Free festival parking will be available at the Alabama School of Math and Science on the corner of Dauphin and Ann streets, Central Presbyterian on the opposite corner, the lot at Government and Ann streets and the All Saints Episcopal Church lot across the street from the church.
