NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Summer may be winding down, but the fun is far from over. From fairs and family-friendly events to music and more, there’s plenty happening across Connecticut this Labor Day weekend. Let’s take a look at 8 Things to Do.

  1. Monkees 60th Anniversary Convention – Fans of The Monkees can head to North Haven for the Monkees 60th Anniversary Convention at the Clarion Inn Hotel. The event celebrates six decades of the iconic pop-rock band with live entertainment, special guests and opportunities for fans to relive the nostalgia.
  2. The Snow Goose – The Goodspeed in East Haddam is continuing its run of “The Snow Goose.” Theatergoers can catch the musical over Labor Day weekend at the historic venue.
  3. Historic Festival 44 – Car enthusiasts can visit Lime Rock Park in Lakeville for Historic Festival 44. The annual event features vintage race cars, a sports car parade and more than 1,000 enthusiast cars and motorcycles on display.
  4. Odyssey Festival – Those looking to experience Greek culture can attend the Odyssey Festival at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church in Orange. The festival features Greek food, music and dancing throughout the weekend.
  5. Haddam Neck Fair – The Haddam Neck Fair returns with a variety of family-friendly activities, including magic shows, a tractor parade and the fair’s annual beard contest.
  6. Woodstock Fair – Connecticut’s largest agricultural fair is celebrating its 165th year in South Woodstock. Visitors can enjoy livestock shows, midway rides, food and family activities.
  7. Book fair at Mark Twain Library – Book lovers can browse more than 60,000 books across 75 categories during the Mark Twain Library Book Fair in Redding. The annual event offers selections for readers of all ages.
  8. Labor Day Art Sale – The Cornwall Library’s Labor Day Benefit Art Sale rounds out the weekend with paintings, prints, posters and other artwork available for purchase. The event also includes a cocktail reception to kick off the festivities.
