Pianist and composer Stavros Lantsias will perform two concerts in Cyprus in September. The Stavros Lantsias Piano Trio+ programme will combine his own lyrical compositions with music by Led Zeppelin and The Doors, as well as classical melodies by Ludwig van Beethoven and Ennio Morricone.

Lantsias will be joined by Greek musicians Michalis Kalkanis on double bass, Michalis Kapilidis on drums, and special guest blues guitarist Babis Tiropos.

The ensemble seeks to expand the sonic possibilities of the classic jazz piano trio. The repertoire will combine contemporary jazz, classical music, and works from the international musical tradition.
Concerts in Limassol and Nicosia
On 25 September, the musicians will perform at the Rialto Theatre in Limassol, and on 26 September at the Axiothea Mansion in Nicosia. The Nicosia concert will take place as part of the 29th Cultural Festival of the University of Cyprus. Both performances will begin at 20:30, Cyprus Mail reports.
