The RAC center here on the Georgia southern campus takes time out of every
semester to put on intramural sports bracket competitions and club sports for students to
participate in during their time here at georgia southern.
Throughout the fall semester they also put on bracket styles competitions of the
intramural sports for Greek life.
This week we watched as two sororities faced off in the lower style of the bracket.
We watched Alpha omicron Pi face off in a 25 minute match versus chi omega.
The two teams faced off for 25 with new matches started every time the teams
would get eliminated.
They ended in a three to two win for alpha omicron pi.
Which however in the end was over turned due to the amount of players that were on
teams making the team of alpha omicron pi ineligible to win because some of their team
members didn’t come from their team.
The story behind the good of intramural sports for Greek life focuses on meeting new
people.
As we found out in our interview, two students zoe eisen and logan weiler are best
friends that play on thai team together and have convinced all their friends to play.
Leading to many new friendships as they encourage new members within their
sorority to join the team and make new members and start new friendships.
