The former X Factor Greece semifinalist blends Konstantinos Argiros’ “Kampanes,” traditional island music and Greek dance in a new summer video

Greek singer Evelina Katsiakou has released “Summer Medley 2026,” a new music video that brings together contemporary Greek popular music, traditional island sounds and the imagery of a Greek summer.
Wearing an elegant bridal gown against a seaside backdrop, Katsiakou performs a medley featuring Konstantinos Argiros’ “Kampanes,” the traditional song “Chorepsete Chorepsete” and Nikos Zoidakis’ “Sousta.”
The bridal gown is part of the video’s creative concept and does not represent an actual wedding. Visually, it symbolizes the production’s blending—or “marriage”—of modern Greek music with island traditions.
What Songs Are Featured in “Summer Medley 2026”?
Katsiakou’s “Summer Medley 2026” combines three selections representing different dimensions of Greek music:
- “Kampanes,” performed by Konstantinos Argiros
- “Chorepsete Chorepsete,” a traditional Greek song
- “Sousta,” performed by Cretan artist Nikos Zoidakis
Violin, lute, guitars and percussion give the arrangement a distinctly Greek sound. Traditional dancing and images of the sea reinforce the production’s connection to Greece’s island culture.
The video presents the selections as a newly arranged medley rather than as original songs written by Katsiakou.
Greek Cultural Associations Featured in the Production
The music video also recognizes the contribution of Greek cultural and dance organizations. According to the production’s official acknowledgements, participating groups include:
- The Koronidiates of Naxos Association
- The Students’ Dance Group
- The Akrotirians of Thira Association
- The “Thymitadai” Cultural Association of Keratsini
Their participation adds a community dimension to the production and helps connect its contemporary presentation with traditional Greek music and dance.
Who Is Evelina Katsiakou?
Evelina Katsiakou is a Greek singer whose music draws from contemporary popular and traditional Greek sounds.
She gained wider recognition through her participation in MEGA’s X Factor Greece. Competing as a member of singer Mariza Rizou’s team, Katsiakou advanced to the semifinal of the televised music competition. Her semifinal appearance was covered by MEGA.
“Summer Medley 2026” continues that musical direction by introducing familiar Greek melodies through a contemporary arrangement and polished visual concept.

The music video was directed by George Koutsogeorgakis.
Dimitris Karokis handled programming, guitars, bass and percussion. The recording also features Pape on violin, Christos Balaskas on lute and a guest appearance by Giannis Bousoulas.
Mixing and mastering were completed by Nikos Stavropoulos at Studio 3icho.
