Greece is among the top destinations of choice this year for incoming travelers from the Netherlands and Belgium, according to local tour operators.
More specifically, according to booking data released by ABTO, the Association of Belgian Travel Organizers, traveler intent for Greece is up by 4.88 percent this year over the same period in 2023.
The news comes on the back of a successful Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) campaign in the Low Countries (Benelux) aka the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg and its participation in two workshops in Amersfoort (Netherlands) and Ghent (Belgium) for TravDay 2024, a major leisure, MICE, and business travel event.

Among others, the GNTO delegation had the chance to hold B2B meetings with major tour operators and tourist agencies as part of efforts to increase arrivals and to learn more about the latest travel trends as well as to introduce new destinations and products.
According to the GNTO, feedback gathered at TravDay indicates a strong tourism year ahead for Greece.
Earlier this year, Halkidiki, Thessaloniki, Pieria and the Region of Central Macedonia teamed up to promote their tourism offerings during the “Vakantiebeurs 2024” expo held in Utrecht, Netherlands.
