Upstate Pro Wrestling holds matches inside Greece Ridge Mall


Greece, N.Y. — Get ready to rumble. Upstate Pro Wrestling held it’s “Mall-A-Mania Spring Fling” production at Greece Ridge Mall on Friday.

Five big matches were held, featuring the “No Limits Championship,” and the main event.

The program is responsible for getting many wrestlers national spotlight, some going on to the W.W.E.

“Since 2003, we’ve put many stars into international fame,” said Mike Champion, the head of production. “Brodie Lee started his career in Upstate Pro Wrestling. He’s appeared in Wrestlemania, won A.E.W. championships.”

The production is put on without any outside funding or grants, and the program has been training wrestlers for more than twenty years.

The event also raising awareness for the upcoming season of the Rochester Area Junior Roller Derby.

In honor of it’s 21st anniversary, it will hold a steel cage event at the Marketplace Mall on May 11th.

If you’re interested in joining, the Flower City Wrestling Academy operates all week, and is always accepting new wrestlers.
