In the Iliad and the Odyssey, the warriors eat only red meat, bulls and rams. There is no calamari feast. The basic myth comes from the Steppe, not the Mediterranean, and Helen (Swelen – Shining) is abducted to the East, to the steep heights of Tajikistan (their steep walls of Ilios).
Identical to our modern day Abruzzese cuisine in Italy lol. Not surprised.
This sort of was in Nolan's "Odyssey" movie I guess.

I have Greek blood but I reject this food. Octopuses are intelligent sentient beings.
I swam the Mediterranean as a boy in the 80s Corsica and remember seeing baby octopus or squid swimming around me, cool. Tasty too.
