Greek pop sensation Christos Mastoras and chart-topping band MELISSES have arrived in Australia as part of their first major international tour outside Europe, bringing their signature blend of contemporary Greek music to audiences across three continents.
The tour marks a significant milestone in the group’s career, taking their music to Greek diaspora communities and international audiences in North America and Australia.
After launching the tour in New York with two sold-out concerts, MELISSES continued with performances across the United States and Canada before making their way to Australia this week for two live gigs on 5 and 6 June before concluding the Australian leg of the tour in Brisbane on 7 June.
The band, fronted by Christos Mastoras, is one of the most successful acts in contemporary Greek music, with multiple platinum-certified hits, millions of streams and YouTube views, and a reputation for energetic live performances.
Known for songs that have dominated Greek radio and streaming platforms, MELISSES have built a loyal following both in Greece and among Greek communities abroad.
Their Australian shows promise a high-energy setlist packed with fan favourites, combining Mastoras’ distinctive vocals with the band’s dynamic stage presence.
The tour gives Greek Australians a rare opportunity to experience one of Greece’s biggest contemporary music acts live, in what is being described as one of the most significant visits by a Greek musical group to Australia in recent years.
