DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) – The 33rd annual Taste of Greece festival will return to Marshall School in Duluth this weekend, featuring Greek food, pastries, music and traditional folk dancing.
The event, hosted by Twelve Holy Apostles Church, runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 27, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at Marshall School, 1215 Rice Lake Road.
Visitors can dine in or order carryout. The festival will offer gyros, shish kebabs, salads, Greek coffee, frappes and homemade pastries. Outdoor express food and pastry tents will also be available.

“We welcome everyone to the Taste of Greece, one of the summer highlights in Duluth,” festival chair Gene Rebeck said. “Come partake of our authentic Greek dishes — gyros, shish-ka-bobs, salads, pastries, coffee, and more — watch dancers perform traditional Greek dances and learn something new about our Orthodox Christian faith.”
The event will also include an on-site chapel display and bookstore, where visitors can learn about Orthodox Christian traditions and purchase books, prayer ropes and other items.
In preparation for this year’s event, one of the organizers for the Taste of Greece Festival, Terrie Regas, said, “With the Greek community the food is part of the culture along with the church and this is something that brings us together. It’s a great socializing event for us and we make so many of each of the pastries.“
Admission and parking are free.
