The Lemon Grove Lions Club recently held its annual Chili Cook-Off, which brought together the community at the Lemon Grove Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2082 and raised $2,200. Father’s Day Car Show
Belmont Park’s annual Father’s Day Car Show is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 21 in the beachside park’s North Lot. Free breakfast, lunch for kids
Free breakfast and lunch will be provided on weekdays for children ages 1-18 through Aug. 7 at the Jim Porter Recreation Center, 1200 Vale Terrace Drive, through the City of Vista’s participation in California’s Summer Food Service Program. Breakfast is from 9 to 9:30 a.m. and lunch from 12 to 12:45 p.m. No income requirements or registration to participate. The program ensures that children continue to have nutritious meals during summer break when school meal programs are unavailable.
