DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) — The 68th annual Dayton Greek Festival is back for a weekend of food, drinks, and music.
It’s a celebration of culture all weekend long.
Attendees can expect the usual favorites, like Greek salads, desserts, Greek beer, and olive oil directly from Greece. New this year is a meatless booth for vegetarians.
Dance groups will perform throughout the weekend, and there is even a petting zoo for kids.
Connie Yorgan, the Baking Chair and the Chairman of Boutique Vendors says the rain shouldn’t keep people away. There’s plenty of spaces under cover to enjoy the festival.
“Yesterday we were slammed,” she said. “I mean, our food lines on our main food tent was down the driveway.”
The event continues tonight until 10 p.m. and then has one more day of fun in store tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The festival is held on the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church grounds.
Free parking is available at the Grandview Hospital Employee Lot, with a free shuttle running to and from the festival.
It’s a one-time $5 fee for the entire weekend, and children 12 and under, veterans, and active-duty military are free.
