2026 national final artists
🇬🇷 Evangelia – “NICOTINI”
If you had asked me what was winning the Greek national final Sing For Greece at the start of this year, I would have sworn Evangelia would have taken it with “PARÈA”. She had become a fan favourite in national final circles after placing second in Greece’s Ethnikós Telikós 2025, with “Vále” Ultimately, in 2026, Akylas took the national final win, and Evangelia placed fourth in the Contest. Yet she has still somehow become a Eurovision star without ever appearing on the ESC stage. She has recently released remixed versions of her national final song with Miriana Conte (Malta; Eurovision 2025), KIKI (Finland; UMK 2026) and Dara Ekimova (Bulgaria; Natsionalnata selektsiya 2026). Latest release from the Greek songstress sees her feature on Torino’s “NICOTINI”. It’s a catchy, soulful Mediterranean summer bop!
🇲🇩 Bacho – “Save Me”
I am a huge fan of recent Moldovan entries in Eurovision, but a part of me will never be content until Bacho appears on the Eurovision stage for his country. The singer / rapper entered the selection process for Moldova in 2025 with “Semafoare”, and in my opinion it deserved the win, but the selection was cancelled and Moldova withdrew from the Contest for the year before it was able to. Bacho returned to the national selection for Moldova in 2026 with the song “Tata”, and while Satoshi was clearly a great choice for the country, I’m still bitter Bacho hasn’t had his chance in the Contest. The latest single from the musician, “Save Me”, is a Moldovan dance-pop banger. He will make an appearance at Eurovision. I still believe Bacho!
🇩🇪 Malou Lovis – “chameleon”
Germany’s Malou Lovis missed out on a spot in the superfinal of the Das Deutsches Finale in 2026 with her song “When I’m With You”. The queer singer-songwriter has continued to release new singles since then, with the immaculate “i’m not here for you” released earlier in the year, as well as “chasing love and missing people”. Both of those tracks are now joined by new single “chameleon”. The new single works so well with both of the previous tracks, and Malou has such an angelic voice that works so well in this indie-pop style.
🇫🇮 KIKI – “Kuolemantanssi”
Half-Greek, half-Finnish musician KIKI made her debut in Finlands UMK national final earlier this year, with the big fan favourite “Rakkaudenkipee”. The song would eventually finish 7th in the selection show, but KIKI has had a busy few months, releasing multiple songs so far in 2026. The latest of which, “Kuolemantanssi”, perfectly blends her Greek and Finnish heritage. The song is a great example of cultures blending and creating greater than the sum of their parts. Finnish language lyrics, with Mediterranean musicality is not something I’d expect to hear and enjoy so much, but I’m glad I did.
🇷🇴🇸🇲 Edward Maya – “Eres Tu”
I think this man has appeared on almost every single Eurovision new music round-up so far this year. Edward Maya will most likely be known as the DJ and producer of huge eurodance anthem “Stereo Love”, back in the early 2010s. But this year, the musician entered both Selcția Naționalǎ in Romania with the song “Everybody Needs Somebody”, and San Marino Song Contest with the song “Balla”. The artists may also be known to fans as one of the creators of Romania’s 2006 Eurovision entry “Tornerò”, performed by Mihai Trăistariu. Maya features twice on this week’s Round-up, with latest releases “Eyes Tu” and “Offline Mode” both gracing the world this week.
“Eyes Tu” sees him team up with Chicago born Latin musician Ricky C. The track is a blend of Ricky C’s big, Latin flavour, with Edward’s classic dance production. “Offline Mode” is another collaboration between Maya and N-Tone on an electro-dance, futuristic gaming anthem. The songs are very different from each other, and show the range of music Edward can turn his hand to.
2025 national final artists
🇵🇱 Sw@da & Niczos – “Podlasie Bounce Karnavał”
Sw@da and Niczos competed in 2025’s edition of the Polskie Kwalifikacje national final with “Lusterka”, eventually finishing in second place. The duo perform most of their music in the Podlachian microlanguage, a dialect spoken mostly in the north east of Poland. The latest song from the duo, “Podlasie Bounce Karnavał”, is a Podlachian dance bop. If you liked their national final entry, this should excite you!
🇺🇦 Маша Кондратенко – “Тіп з Рейтарської”
Маша Кондратенко placed 3rd at the close of voting in Ukraine’s Vidbir national selection, back in 2024. The singer-songwriter has gone on to have a string of hits in the country, and maintains her alt-pop style. The latest single from the musician comes in the form of “Тіп з Рейтарської”, a funky, guitar-pop sound, with her classic alt/indie electronica spin. It really is a fun record from Маша.
