It’s officially Euro summer. If you haven’t noticed already (although I’m 99% sure you will have) Instagram is awash with carefully curated holiday snaps, all accompanied by #eurosummer. So, while you gaze at Dua Lipa’s Italian honeymoon pics or frantically save those not-so-hidden gems from the Balearic Isles, Mango might just have won Euro summer already.

Every now and again, something happens at work that makes me stop and think: ‘How is this my job?’ Most recently, it was a trip to Greece with Mango. Known for throwing the most aesthetically pleasing fashion parties, Mango headed to Athens with a whole host of fashion people in tow. Not satisfied with a quick stopover in the Greek capital, the brand then chartered a ferry, and off we went to Hydra – one of Greece’s most charming and beloved island – for a evening complete with an open-air cinema on the rocks showing the ‘60s cult classic La Piscine, a Mango pop-up store nestled in the cobbled streets, and plenty of Mango-branded beach towels.

Aside from the perfectly curated table settings, #merch, and some of the most beautiful people I’ve seen IRL, it was a complete style inspo fest. I’ve been a fashion editor for years now, and there’s no better way of getting new outfit inspiration than seeing it first-hand on actual people. The beauty of style is that everyone’s is different. ‘Great style’ doesn’t really exist when you think about it. Instead, it comes down to how someone wears the clothes, how someone makes an item their own. It helps, of course, when the clothes themselves are rather fabulous, but seeing how individuals put together an outfit is fascinating – a reason why I could spend hours (and hours) people-watching. Naturally, I was taking notes, and here’s what some of the coolest people were wearing…
1. Dresses Over Trousers

I love a little lace slip dress but the coolest way to wear right now is nonchalantly thrown on over swishy trousers. Try asymmetric hemlines or a belt rouse the hips to give more interesting silhouettes. When it comes to the trousers, think loose and slouchy, balloon pants or silky drawstring trousers are great options, or, for something a little more structured, consider a cropped taffeta pair for a chic take.

2. Boho Belts

Consider a statement belt worn loosely across the hips your ultimate cool-girl accessory. Mango’s squared-off leather offering will go with everything from maxi dresses to minis or try layering chain and rope belts together for a boho feel. Easy.

3. Halterneck Tops

Halter neck tops are everywhere right now; Mango have nailed the brief with countless options. Look for draped styles that give the illusion of a scarf top in satin and linen for real holiday vibes. When it comes to underwear, try switching your bra for a triangle bikini top as it’ll keep straps hidden neatly. Plus, when temperatures rise, an open back is a God send.

4. Tassel Pendant Necklaces

The easiest way to update a holiday ‘fit, throw on a pendant necklace – ideally something oversized and artisanal. Now is the time to be playful with your jewellery, try wearing those funny little trinkets you’ve collected over the years or look to Mango’s collection of tasselled and shell longline necklaces for the perfect example.

5. Soft Summer Yellow

Now, I thought butter yellow was done and dusted but I’m pleased to see it’s made a triumphant return for summer 2026. Look for silky slips and maxi dresses in this soft yellow shade for a showstopping evening outfit. Plus, if you’ve got any weddings on the way, consider this shade the ultimate for wedding guest dressing.
