Timucua Arts Foundation and The Hercules Project bring the Greek tragedies

Timucua Arts Foundation, in partnership with The Hercules Project, is bringing classical plays to Orlando this June to support PTSD recovery.

The Hercules Project is a nonprofit for veterans and first responders, offering nontraditional therapeutic approaches to healing.

The Hercules Project began as a college course created by Sean Lake, a professor at Valencia College, Leah Nash, Timucua’s executive director, said in a press release. According to the release, Lake knew that Greek tragedy was already used as a form of cultural therapy by and for combat veterans. After discussing his work with a colleague, the nonprofit The Hercules Project was born.
