Musical soundtrack to BBC One drama

There’s a universal mix of dance tracks, and traditional Greek music

Helen Fear

Two Weeks in August transports us to Greece, where the sun is hotter than hell, and the tension between old ‘friends’ is palpable – but we can rely on the soundtrack to deliver real joy.

The eight-part series introduces us to six university friend and their partners, who travel to the European country for a joint holiday. The plan? To reconnect, relax, switch off from work, and have fun.

But, that is NOT what happens. Not at all. Unless by reconnect you mean snogging each other’s partners, delivering some long-buried home truths, and having full-on bitch fights. Pass the popcorn.

Two Weeks in August delivers lashings of comic drama – with tongue firmly in cheeky – as well as an eclectic soundtrack full of bangers, and some lesser known Greek music. Here’s a full track list of every song featured in the BBC One drama.
