Panagia Soumela Melbourne brought music, dance and community spirit to residents at Fronditha Care in Templestowe on Sunday, 14 June, in a heartwarming intergenerational celebration of Greek culture.
Members of the organisation’s junior and senior dance groups visited the aged care facility, performing traditional dances and sharing live music with residents, families and staff.
The event transformed the facility into a lively cultural gathering, with residents singing along, clapping to the music and, in many cases, joining performers on the dance floor.
Organisers said the visit highlighted the enduring power of music and dance to connect generations and strengthen community bonds.

Following the dance performances, the group’s musicians continued the celebrations with a live music session, encouraging residents to participate and creating an atmosphere filled with warmth, laughter and emotion.
