ATHENS, Greece – The Lehigh Women’s Basketball team had an eventful Saturday in Athens. The morning began with a tour of the Acropolis, a historic hilltop home to the famous Parthenon and one of the world’s most important symbols of ancient Greek civilization. Saturday evening, the Mountain Hawks returned to the court and defeated the Europe All Stars, 70-51.
In the game, Whitney Lind led the way for Lehigh with 30 points, knocking down 12 field goals, including four three-pointers.
Head Coach Addie Micir said, “What a fun way to represent Lehigh in Myrto’s home country. We wanted to showcase our Share it and Shoot it style, as well as the toughness we want to have on the glass this year.
“I’m proud of how we showed up, with work and energy, and played together.”
