GROVETOWN. (WRDW/WAGT) – If you wanted to see a fashion show this week, you didn’t have to travel all the way to Paris.
On Thursday, Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Grovetown held a runway show of its own.
Students with special needs had the opportunity to showcase their creativity by designing—and even creating—the clothing featured on the runway.
“I think it’s a dream come true. It is amazing. You have to know what it means to them. Some of them were so scared—they were hyperventilating before we got started. And look at their smiles. Look at their confidence. Look at the fact that they’re the stars of the show. I think that’s what makes our school special: When you come to Immaculate Conception, you are a star,” said Allison Palfy, principal of Immaculate Conception School.
All money raised from the event will go toward scholarships for those students.
