The competition will once again feature a multi-stage format, culminating in a grand final.
ERT Confirms ‘Sing for Greece 2027’ with Two Semi-Finals and Grand Final
ERT, the Greek national broadcaster, has announced the launch of its national final, Sing for Greece 2027, to select the artist and song that will represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest 2027. This marks the third consecutive year that Greece will utilise this format, which has proven popular with both artists and viewers.
The submission window for interested artists and composers officially opened today, Tuesday, 22nd September 2026. The call for entries invites proposals for Greece’s participation in the 71st edition of the contest, which is set to take place in May 2027 in Burgas, Bulgaria.The song submission deadline has been set on November 1st.
The selection process for Sing for Greece 2027 will consist of two semi-finals, leading to a grand national final. Up to 20 songs will compete across the two semi-finals, with 12 entries advancing to the final based exclusively on public televoting. In the ultimate stage, the winning entry will be determined by a combination of audience votes and an expert jury, securing their ticket to Eurovision 2027.
ERT’s decision to continue with a transparent and competitive national selection like Sing for Greece underscores its commitment to showcasing contemporary Greek music and engaging the public in the selection of their Eurovision representative.
