"Obviousy a boring one…": Not a single game decided on penalties (had to wait for Spain to achieve that again on 2024), beating twice the host nation (Portugal), eliminating the then-defending champions (France) and the most in-form team of the tournament (Czech Republic) playing all of the them in equal terms (check the stats). Probably not the fanciest winner that ever saw Europe. This Greece was anything but boring. Worth of being known by next generations as the definition of the underdog story… Karagounis = True legend + inspiration

Here in Greece we say dive like karagounis he always dive for fake penalties for his team panathinaikos..Like gianakopoulos when he came to play in Uk.Nice players but with cheat attitude cause unfortunately the football in Greece was in full coruption helping olympiakos mostly to win the most of championships and secondary panathinaikos.Just looking the titles of these teams you can see it clearly.
