We took the tour yesterday. As, explained in the video, it is a great experience. We took the 13:30 one, and it was less crowded in the streets and a small group of 3 couples. The guide and tastes were amazing. This is the tour you are looking for.
Where do i find the info for this tour please?
Hi Sebastian. Could you plz share the name of the place for the traditional Greek coffee and also the restaurant with fish meal. Thanks.
Hi Seb. Loved all your Greece videos and they were so helpful in deciding where to stay, eat and things to do. Loved your recommendations for how to visit Athens and Santorini. We had an amazing time in Greece and can’t wait to go back.
I gotta give feedback on the food tour though. It for us, was a mid experience. The food we had outside of the tour was vastly superior in taste. Within the food tour, although our guide was nice the only standouts were the Greek coffee and Bougatsa. All the other food items and restaurants that we were taken to, seemed a watered down version of actual Greek food. Dare I say, I was dissappointed. For example, the final stop of the tour was at Sabbas for pita wraps and neither the chicken nor the pork had any flavor. This was day 1 in Athens, so it was quite a let down.
This was the only negative experience we’ve had out of the entire trip, to be honest. Everything else that you had suggested worked out really well.
Hey brother how are you. Next year we’re coming to Athens so please I need best place for breakfast near to Plaka. Thank you and God bless you!
Useless video, doesn’t list the places.
Just booked this tour after watching your video! I’ll be going in late August and I can’t wait! ❤
Coming to Greece via a cruise and have decided to forgo the more touristy thing and go find a restaurant called Tzitzikas & Mermigas and then wander down (if I possibly have any room left) to Bufala Gelato. This may be my only time in Athens and I really want to try authentic food. Did i pick good places that are hopefully not as touristy?
Seven of us went on this tour in early May. It was great, highly recommended. The focus wasn’t solely on food either, it covered a few other things like a walk through the agora selling fruit, meat, fish and dry goods. She brought us to the back of restaurants to see the operations too.
Thank you so much for all of this information. We booked the e bike tour and Delphi/Meteroa tour that you recommended using the affiliate links and are excited about it.
We also want to book this food tour but the only day we could squeeze it in is the day we arrive.
Our plane lands at 11AM. We are not checking bags. The hotel we are staying at is 10min from the Acropolis (Neoma Hotel). They allow us to store our bags before check in. Do you think that we would have enough time to get through security, drop bags and make it to this tour by 2pm?
If not, I am in a Facebook group and they recommended another food tour group: Athen Food by Foot. It has a night tour.
The one you recommended looks better though.
Let me know your thoughts:)
Best,
Flo
that "greek" coffee is turkish. everbody knows that as turkish coffee.
Could you name some of these restaurants? We’re traveling with a baby, so going on a fixed itinerary tour doesn’t work for us, but I’d love to try some of these places at a slower pace!
In Athens right now – what about some abondoned places or really off the beaten track / weird places?
Αγάπη από Ελλάδα ❤❤
Hi Sebastian! Katherine the tour guide here! I just had two of your viewers on the tour today- I had no idea about your channel!! This is so awesome and kind. Σ'ευχαριστουμε πολύ!!
Good
يمي جميل جدا ولذيييييذ 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hey Sebi, multiple tours showed up, which is the one you recommended?
Thanks for the information! Very valuable content! I visited Santorini last year and used your tips and tricks and this year I’m going to Mykonos! Very excited!!!! Thanks
Thanks to you, we had a brilliant Greece trip.
all the food tours do the same shit, it's pretty boring. OH LOOK AT DIPORTO BEING AUTHENTIC! they all do the market, maybe fish in a cone, Kostas or O Kostas, savvas, klimateria, thanassis, all the usual spots. But that's okay for the Santorini/Mykonos folks. As long as they stay away from …… (my usual Cyclades island), I'm good.
Athens has such amazing food! 🤍💙
Hello Seb, I'm loving your videos! So informative and clear. We are going to Athens in 2 weeks and I'm hoping for a Street Food vid, or recommendations please. OR best area for this? Thank you!
Just binge – watched most of your Santorini and Mykonos videos. Thank you so much for making these they are so helpful! We are going to Greece in may and these videos are helping us feel a little more prepared for our first trip without a tour group!
Going to Athens next week 🙂 Do you have any gluten free recommendations for classic greek food?
Now I'm hungry, really nice video !
We were in Athens in 2021 and 2022, and stayed in the Pagrati area with relatives (lucky us!). We loved going to 'OK Bread', 'To Mavro Provato' (very popular highly rated restaurant known for it's variety of unique 'small plates' dining), Ohh Boy!, and Tres Sorelle. There are so many more great restaurants in that area, and we enjoyed sitting down at Proskopon Square, where they have seating for several restaurants lining the block. And we hardly scratched the surface! Athens is a gastronomical dream come true!
