Tom Jones comes down with the flu, cancels Los Angeles concert at The Greek Theatre

A brutal flu forced music legend Sir Tom Jones to abruptly cancel his SoCal tour dates just hours before showtime.

The famed Welsh singer was unexpectedly hit with the flu on Monday and had to reschedule his Los Angeles and San Diego show.

“I’ve had a great time these last few weeks, completing 20 shows and singing for wonderful audiences across the USA, but unexpectedly I’ve been hit with a bad case of the flu,” Jones wrote in a post.

“Following doctor’s advice, I unfortunately have to reschedule tonight’s show in Los Angeles and tomorrow’s show in San Diego,” he continued.

His Los Angeles concert was set to kick off on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at The Greek Theatre, but it will now be rescheduled to November 4. The San Diego show was supposed to be on Tuesday at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park at 7:30 p.m. but has been changed to November 3rd.

Jones is currently in the middle of his “Come Gather Round” tour and was wrapping up three performances in Las Vegas.

The North American leg launched September 18 in Highland Park, Illinois, after Jones kicked off his worldwide tour in England back in June.
