Brunswick Greek Festival returns for a celebration of culture and community


The Brunswick Greek Festival returns on Sunday, 18 October, inviting families and visitors of all ages to enjoy a day filled with Greek flavours, music, dancing and entertainment in the heart of Melbourne’s inner north.

The festival will take place at St Eleftherios Church, 279 Albion Street, Brunswick, from 11am onwards, bringing together the Greek Australian community and local residents for a celebration of culture, tradition and togetherness.

Held under the theme “Celebrating Family, Culture & Community in the Heart of Brunswick”, the event aims to showcase Greek heritage while strengthening connections between the Greek community and the wider neighbourhood.

Visitors can look forward to a variety of traditional Greek dishes, including souvlaki, homemade sweets, freshly brewed coffee and other familiar flavours of Greece.

The entertainment program will feature traditional Greek dancing, live music and a DJ, creating a festive atmosphere for the whole family.

Market stalls offering a range of products will also be part of the celebrations, alongside raffles, competitions and prizes.

Children will have plenty to enjoy, with dedicated activities and entertainment planned throughout the day.

With the Greek and Australian flags prominently featured in the festival’s promotional material, the event reflects the shared cultural identity of the Greek Australian community and its enduring connection to its heritage.

The Brunswick Greek Festival promises another opportunity for the community to come together, celebrate its traditions and share the warmth of Greek hospitality with visitors from all backgrounds.
