The Original Greek Festival in Houston returns for its 60th anniversary this weekend! Kicking off Thursday, October 1, the long-running celebration of Greek culture will feature three days of authentic Greek food, a marketplace, and a full lineup of live music.

What began as a small community event has since grown into an annual, multiday festival. Organized by Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, the 2026 Original Greek Festival takes place from Thursday, October 1, through Saturday, October 3, at 3511 Yoakum Blvd. in the Museum District/Montrose area.
What to expect at the Original Greek Festival
Celebrating Greek culture, food, and Orthodox traditions, the festival will feature a wide variety of Greek dishes, Greek wine, a marketplace, children’s activities—including a petting zoo and inflatables—as well as live music and traditional dance performances throughout the day.
Visitors can enjoy a traditional à la carte menu featuring grilled beef souvlaki, pastitsio, and spanakopita, along with combination dinner plates. The pastry selection includes baklava, loukoumades drizzled with syrup, and variety boxes of classic Greek sweets such as finikia and kourambiedes.
The drink offerings include imported Fix beer from Greece, a signature festival brew, and traditional Greek coffee frappés. A curated wine list features labels from Greek estates such as Moraitis and Palivou, with varieties including Malagousia and Assyrtiko available by the glass or bottle.
Visitors can also join scheduled cathedral tours to explore the building’s history and architecture, while dedicated children’s activities will run throughout the weekend.
Original Greek Festival schedule and ticket information
The Original Greek Festival takes place from October 1 through October 3, with the following hours:
- Thursday, October 1: 5 p.m.–10:30 p.m.
- Friday, October 2: 11 a.m.–10:30 p.m.; free admission from 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
- Saturday, October 3: 11 a.m.–10:30 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for adults ages 13 and older. Children under 13 are admitted free. Admission is also free for all visitors on Friday, October 2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Street parking is expected to be available throughout the surrounding area. ADA-accessible parking will be available near both entrances. Limited paid parking is available at 3808 Stanford St.
