ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (KWQC) – The annual “Our Big Fat Greek Festival” is happening this weekend at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Rock Island.
The festival is open to the public and includes Greek cuisine, music, dance and activities for families.
New this year, the church opened a new patio area for the festival.
Organizers also set up a kid’s zone and Zorbas, an outdoor kitchen that will extend its hours for late-night eating.
The festival continues until 10 p.m. Friday and runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.
Admission is $2 for adults, and children 12 and under are admitted free.
