This is so Euro centric. Democracy was around in parts of the middle east and India before Athens came into history. Ancient Egyptians, Sumerians and Akkadians had philosophy thousands of years before Greeks. Indian philosophy rose before greek philosophy. And China had philosophy around the same time as the greeks. The Olympics were the only thing you were right about. You get a 1/3.
They got it from Persia and were the first to implement it but the idea was Persian. you would be wrong. Early Iranians had their own regional elected councils. By the time of the Medians, the city-states were administered in a democratic fashion.
