Arsenal have reached an agreement with Club Brugge to sign Christos Tzolis, according to a report by David Ornstein of The Athletic.
The Gunners have struck a deal to sign the Greece international for 34million, meeting the asking price of the Belgian Pro League champions to bring in a suitable replacement for the outgoing Leandro Trossard.

With an agreement now in place and pending the final steps, Tzolis is on the way to becoming Arsenal’s third permanent signing of the summer and the first major addition as part of a revamp in attack.

Throughout the summer, reports have suggested Mikel Arteta was keen to add a new left winger to his ranks in the transfer window and Tzolis was first linked to the Gunners in June when The Athletic revealed the club were exploring a possible move for the winger.
Upon the confirmation of Trossard joining Beikta, it was revealed Arsenal were set to accelerate club-to-club talks for the Greek after he had given the green light to the North London side.

Tzoils is said to have been keen on a move to the English capital and prioritised a transfer to Arteta’s side ahead of any other possible suitors.
The deal will see him make a return to England, having already spent time with Norwich City, making 30 appearances for the Canaries, including 14 in the Premier League. He was also linked with a move to Crystal Palace last summer, but that did not materialise after Club Brugge rejected an approach.
The Greece international showed his ability during his time with the Belgian side, scoring 43 goals and providing 45 assists in 108 games, and establishing himself as a crucial component of their first team setup.
He has also been an important asset for his national side, scoring nine goals and receiving 34 caps for the EURO 2004 champions, with his latest strike coming in a 3-2 win over Scotland as part of World Cup qualification in November 2025.

He is viewed as a suitable replacement for Trossard due to his direct attacking play and his expected move to Arsenal is expected to be seperate to any interest in Aston Villa‘s Morgan Rogers or other attacking targets, as stated when interest was first reported.
The Gunners are now in the process of finalising a move for the 24-year-old, who is likely set to become the first major arrival for the Premier League champions this summer.
