Tom Jones cancels Greek Theatre show hours before showtime due to ‘bad case of the flu’

Just hours before he was set to hit the stage of the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, Sir Tom Jones announced that the show had been rescheduled.

“I’ve had a great time these last few weeks, completing 20 shows and singing for wonderful audiences across the USA, but unexpectedly I’ve been hit with a bad case of the flu,” he wrote in a message on Instagram on Monday afternoon.

Doctors advised the 86-year-old to cancel Monday night’s show at the Greek and Tuesday’s show in San Diego.

“I’ve had news that these shows will now be rescheduled as follows – The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, San Diego, on Tuesday, November 3rd, and The Greek Theatre, Los Angeles, on Wednesday, November 4th,” he explained.

“I’m truly sorry for any inconvenience caused. I look forward to seeing you all soon”.

All tickets for the original shows will remain valid, but if you’re unable to attend the new dates, fans should contact their original point of purchase for a full refund.

Jones is currently on his Come Gather Round Tour. It started in September and was set to end on Nov. 1 in San Francisco. However, due to the new dates, the tour will end in L.A.
