Hellenic Boston Businesses Unite and Kaia Host Successful ‘Meet & Greek’ Event

BOSTON – On September 24, Hellenic Boston Businesses Unite (HBBU) joined forces with Kaia – a coastal Greek restaurant located in Boston’s South End – for a one night-only, successful ‘Meet & Greek’ Summer Send-Off event.

Bringing together more than 50 Greek and Greek-American professionals, the event, which took place in Kaia’s outdoor patio, XO, provided an opportunity for guests to enjoy Greek music, signature cocktails and delicious bites, all while having the opportunity to network and connect like-minded professionals.

This end-of-summer gathering highlighted HBBU’s continued commitment to fostering meaningful relationships and strengthening the network of Hellenic and Philhellenic professionals throughout Greater Boston.

In a comment made to The National Herald, Panayiota (Patricia) Asimacos, the Founder and President of HBBU said, “it was a true pleasure to have our event at KAIA – and quite meaningful – as Demetri Tsolakis is a good friend and longtime supporter of HBBU. This is our second event at one of the Xenia Greek Hospitality concepts – and being at Kaia felt like home – an Aegean oasis.”

She shared “it may sound idyllic, but I see HBBU as a large extended family – I want to bring everyone together in harmony and with pure love to connect our community members while helping one another as well.”

“Whether referring one business owner or professional to another, or hosting fundraising events to raise money for the Metropolis of Boston Camp or the SOTIR Center in Thessaloniki, GR, HBBU is truly near and dear to my heart and soul, my culture and my world.”

The Meet & Greek Summer Send-Off event built upon HBBU’s momentum following a series of successful community initiatives over the past year, including The Art of Greek Entrepreneurship, featuring a panel of accomplished Greek entrepreneurs; the KefiFM & H.B.B.U. Annual Radiothon benefiting the Metropolis of Boston Camp; Ladies’ Night at Rumble Boxing; seasonal networking receptions; and philanthropic and professional development programming.

Through strategic partnerships and community-focused events, HBBU continues to create opportunities that bring people together, celebrate Greek heritage, and inspire the next generation of leaders. The ‘event served as another meaningful opportunity to strengthen these connections while welcoming the fall season.

HBBU’s next event is the HBBU x MEZŌ Christmas Glendi, which will take place on Thursday, December 3, from 6 to 9 PM at MEZŌ Mediterranean, a modern Mediterranean restaurant rooted in Greek culinary traditions in Dedham Square.

Tickets for this event will be available for purchasing later this month and can be found at https://hbbu.org/events/.
