TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – This Friday kicks off 40 years of celebrating Greek culture in Tallahassee.
Organizers say this event is more than just a food festival. There will be a live Greek band, traditional Greek dance performances, church tours and vendors for shopping.
It’s free and open to everyone in the community.
New this year are a chicken souvlaki dinner and frappes, plus a wider variety of pastries in the Pastry Shop.
For just baklava or a pastry sampler box, skip the Pastry Shop line and go to the Pastry Express booth.
The festival website has a map of parking lots, and there’s a free shuttle from nearby Immanuel Baptist Church off Mahan Drive this year.
The Tallahassee Greek Food Festival runs Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. each day at Holy Mother of God Greek Orthodox Church, located at 1645 Phillips Road.
