🇨🇾 Theo Evan releases new single “PESTO”

Theo Evan, who represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel in 2025, is back with new music! The “Shh” singer has this week released his latest new single, “PESTO”.

About “PESTO”

Cypriot Eurovision participant Theo Evan is back with his first new single of 2026. This week, Theo releases new single “PESTO”. The track is an upbeat dance-pop song, performed in the Greek language. While still being recognisably a Theo Evan song, the track differs from his Eurovision entry “Shh” in that it is less mysterious and dark-pop, with a more exciting, uptempo, dance focus.

The new single from Theo is accompanied by numerous social media videos promoting the song. Theo can be seen dancing and performing the track on suburban Cypriot streets. In some of the videos, Theo is flanked either side by clones of himself, performing intense choreography.

The new single was written by Theo himself, as well as Stefanos Christoforou. The track is the latest of Theo Evan’s to be released independently.

Theo’s Eurovision journey

Cyprus chose to internally select Theo Evan to represent the country at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland. In doing so, Theo became the first Cypriot born artists to represent the nation in the Contest since 2017. Public broadcaster CyBC internally selected Theo to represent them in Basel with the song “Shh”.

Competing in the first semi-final, Cyprus failed to qualify for the Saturday Grand Final. “Shh” would finish in 11th place in the Semi-Final, with 44 points, narrowly missing out on a qualification spot. This was the first time since 2022 that Cyprus had not qualified to a Eurovision Grand Final.
