Victoria’s Greek Fest is returning for its 25th annual celebration, bringing Greek food, music and cultural traditions to the Greek Community Centre from Aug. 28 to 30 and Sept. 4 to 7.

Presented by the Victoria & Vancouver Island Greek Community Society, the festival will run daily from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 4648 Elk Lake Drive, beside Commonwealth Place. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome.

Visitors can enjoy a selection of traditional Greek dishes, including roasted lamb, souvlaki, spanakopita, baklava and loukoumades, along with appetizers, main courses, baked goods, desserts and beverages.

The festival will also feature live music, dance and cultural performances celebrating Greek traditions. Performance schedules are available through the festival’s website.

Beyond food and entertainment, visitors can explore the Greek Heritage Museum, which highlights Greek history and the contributions of Greek Canadians in B.C.

The AGORA market will also offer Greek products, handmade goods and treats for visitors to take home.

Organizers say hospitality is at the heart of the festival, reflecting the Greek tradition of philoxenia, or welcoming guests with generosity and friendship.
