Ukrainian-Greek Festival Brings Music, Dance and Community Together in Patras | Ukraine news


A festival stage in western Greece became a meeting point where traditions connected communities and young performers captivated audiences.

The Ukrainian-Greek festival “The Soul Sings” was held in the Greek city of Patras. The event brought together Ukrainian and Greek cultural traditions, music, dance, and community creative initiatives. The Union of Ukrainian Women in Greece shared information about the festival on its Facebook page.

The “The Soul Sings” festival has been held in Patras since 2022. This time, participants showcased the cultural richness of different regions of Ukraine, including folk singing, choreographic performances, contemporary dance pieces, and creative interpretations of Ukrainian traditions.

Performances by Greek dance groups became an important part of the program. They enhanced the festive atmosphere and highlighted the cultural dialogue between the Ukrainian community and the people of Greece.

Creative groups and performers took to the stage at the Ukrainian-Greek festival with a variety of programs:

  • the exemplary folk dance ensemble “Dewdrops of Dawn”;
  • the exemplary amateur dance ensemble “Sunshine”;
  • the exemplary vocal ensemble “Zdolbuniv Bells”;
  • the “Inspiration” group;
  • the “Pirouette” choreography studio;
  • GG GulayGorod and other participants.

Support for the Ukrainian Community in Greece

The Union of Ukrainian Women in Greece thanked the artists, children, group leaders, and Greek festival participants. Special gratitude was expressed to the organizers, partners, and sponsors who helped prepare and hold the cultural event.

The organization also noted the contributions of volunteers, families, and audience members. Thanks to their involvement, the “The Soul Sings” festival continues to grow, bring Ukrainians in Patras together, and strengthen cultural ties between Ukraine and Greece.
