This summer, Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens unveils a renewed vision for Zolotas Beach, its intimate waterfront destination on the Athenian Riviera. The secluded shoreline setting has been reimagined through vibrant, bespoke furnishings and decor by Athens-born creative Rianna, founder of luxury fashion label RIANNA + NINA. Refined, fire-led dining evokes timeless Greek traditions and Rianna’s treasured family memories of summers on the Astir peninsula.
From June 18, 2026, the private beach transforms into an exclusive open-air restaurant every Thursday to Monday, welcoming only 20 to 30 guests each evening. In a unique meeting of fashion, art, and gastronomy, the award-winning Hotel has worked with Rianna to translate her heartfelt heritage into an evocative guest experience.
Stories Served By the Sea
Born into a family of hoteliers, Rianna’s formative summers were spent at the iconic Astir Palace Hotel, where days flowed between sun, sea, and cherished family rituals. These early memories – swimming at the legendary Zolotas Beach, long lunches bathed in Mediterranean light – form the foundation of the new menu. In a meeting of creative minds, Chef Thodoris Papanikolaou has crafted an à la carte selection of dishes showcasing carefully sourced ingredients cooked in an open-flame parrilla.
Rianna’s highlights include Charcoal-Grilled Pita with sea salt, fresh oregano, and a touch of tarama – “the way to begin every true Greek gathering.” The playful, tomato-rich N-Tacos celebrate the abundant vibrancy of seasonal produce, while Lamb Kontosouvli is inspired by Rianna’s childhood holidays with her grandmother. Kakavia – the traditional fisherman’s soup – is the menu’s “emotional highlight,” a dish prepared during Rianna’s childhood by a beloved taverna owner only when the catch was exceptional.
“No narrative of Greek family life would be complete without dessert,” Rianna adds. Her favourite is Ravani, a Sunday staple in the family home, reimagined for Four Seasons guests with roasted pineapple and coconut ice cream. The wine menu focuses on Mediterranean regions, highlighting bright, terroir-driven sips that perfectly pair with grilled flavours. Against a backdrop of vivid Riviera sunsets, refreshing cocktails incorporate local herbs, citrus and subtle smoky notes.

Enhancing Zolotas Beach’s distinctive sense of place are bespoke textiles and decorative details created exclusively for the Hotel by Rianna. Internationally beloved brand RIANNA + NINA is known for its expressive, storytelling approach to textile design. Alongside the Hotel team, Rianna has created a space that feels both nostalgic and contemporary.
Blue-and-white stripes, hand-drawn patterns and vibrant Mediterranean motifs create a playful yet refined setting for sunset aperitivos and intimate dinners by the sea. Each signature pop of colour and characterful detail in the cushions, curtains, vintage rugs and handcrafted tableware celebrates Rianna’s Greek craftsmanship and deepens guests’ connection to the destination.
At the Hotel’s spa boutique, guests can discover a selection of exclusive items designed by Rianna for Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens. Beach towels, placemats and bespoke tableware feature bright colours and patterns, allowing guests to take home their own piece of Greek artistry.
