Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church readies 40th annual Greek Fest in Steubenville

The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Steubenville is preparing to welcome crowds back to Fourth Street for its 40th annual Greek Fest, a three-day celebration of Greek culture, food and music.

The festival, held since 1986, runs from Wednesday to Friday.

Church members and volunteers were busy Tuesday finishing last-minute work ahead of the start.

“We’d like to share with the tri-state area our culture, our Hellenic culture, and our traditions, and we enjoy having everyone come to enjoy our delicious food, pastry, dancing, and a lot of love with all of this at our church,” said Angie Mahfood, a liaison for Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. “We started out in a humble way, and it’s grown to have tents and different type of music all day. It’s just a beautiful, beautiful time. We hope everyone will come and we’ll welcome you with open arms. And it’s a lot of fun, please come and enjoy it.”

The festival runs June 1012. Admission is free, and live entertainment is scheduled throughout the event.
