STEUBENVILLE, Ohio — The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Steubenville is preparing to welcome crowds back to Fourth Street for its 40th annual Greek Fest, a three-day celebration of Greek culture, food and music.
The festival, held since 1986, runs from Wednesday to Friday.
Church members and volunteers were busy Tuesday finishing last-minute work ahead of the start.
“We’d like to share with the tri-state area our culture, our Hellenic culture, and our traditions, and we enjoy having everyone come to enjoy our delicious food, pastry, dancing, and a lot of love with all of this at our church,” said Angie Mahfood, a liaison for Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. “We started out in a humble way, and it’s grown to have tents and different type of music all day. It’s just a beautiful, beautiful time. We hope everyone will come and we’ll welcome you with open arms. And it’s a lot of fun, please come and enjoy it.”
The festival runs June 1012. Admission is free, and live entertainment is scheduled throughout the event.
