Wilmington Greek Festival set for May 17-19

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – This year’s Wilmington Greek Festival is set for Friday through Saturday, May 17 to 19, hosted by the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.

“This marks the 32nd iteration of our Greek Festival, and we view it as an opportunity to share our beliefs, and heritage with the entire Eastern Carolina region. We invite you to join us in enjoying our delicious food, traditional music and dancing, lively marketplace and cooking demonstrations, and don’t leave before attending one of our Church tours,” the church said on the Facebook event page.

The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. You can park and walk up to get food and take a tour, or you can get food via the drive-through.

Admission is $5 for people ages 13 and up for the whole weekend, and anyone ages 12 and under can attend for free. No pets are allowed.

“Hospitality is one of the most noble virtues in the Hellenic culture. Allow us to show you what we mean by hosting you this May!” the announcement continues.
