Tornos News | Draft law on land registry under consultation in Greece


Digital Governance Minister Dimitrios Papastergiou placed the draft law on the upgrade of the Land Registry under public consultation.
More specifically, the draft law provides for:
a) the acceleration of the land registry process, in order to achieve the goal of transitioning the entire country to a functioning system in 2025, as well as the establishment of a new digital process for correcting certain features of properties,
b) the simplification and acceleration of the procedures for the transfer of real estate, the registration of deeds, and the correction of land registry records, in order to avoid complex administrative procedures and long-term legal disputes,
c) the utilization of artificial intelligence, as well as new applications, to further upgrade the services provided,
d) the strengthening of operational effectiveness and efficiency in the organization and operation of the Land Registry.
