A classically trained musician will commemorate the 15th anniversary of her solo album with a hometown concert featuring music, storytelling and Greek cuisine.
International concert harpist Eleanor Turner will perform her 2011 album, The Crown of Ariadne, at The Blonde Beet bistro, in St Paul’s Street, Stamford, on Saturday, June 13.
A Greek vegan main course will be served at 6.30pm, accompanied by live traditional Greek music by the Stamford musician, before the main performance, during which dessert and coffee will be served.
In The Crown of Ariadne, Eleanor will play multiple percussion instruments to tell the tragic story of Ariadne who was abandoned on the island of Naxos by Theseus.
She recently featured on UK rapper Dave’s multi award-winning album The Boy Who Played The Harp and this year she will visit Toronto, Canada, to perform her Lullabies for the Land book.

There will be one further chance to hear Eleanor perform locally this year, in her Serenata concert at All Saints Church, in Tinwell, on Friday, July 17 from 7.30pm.
She will be joined by fellow international concert artists, guitarist Alan Thomas and the mezzo soprano Kasia Middleton.
