Swedish pop group Roxette is celebrating a major anniversary.

This year marks four decades years since their debut album, “Pearls of Passion,” was released, launching the duo into pop history.

The 40th-anniversary tour will feature group founder Per Gessle alongside Lena Philipsson. Roxette originally consisted of Gessle and Marie Fredriksson, whose soaring vocals and unmistakable short blonde hairstyle helped propel the band to stardom. Fredriksson died of cancer in 2019 at age 61.

“With more than 80 million albums sold and a countless number of No. 1 hits across Europe, the U.S., Latin America and Asia, Roxette remains the Swedish act with the most U.S. Billboard No. 1 singles, four in total,” Live Nation said in a press release.

To honor the occasion, the pair will embark on a North American tour this fall, hitting 14 cities. It will launch on Sept. 10 at Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan. It’ll head to the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on Oct. 5. It will wrap up on Oct. 9 at White River Amphitheatre in Washington.

The group will perform their timeless hits like “The Look,” “Listen to Your Heart,” “Joyride,” and “It Must Have Been Love,” which recently surpassed one billion streams on Spotify.

Special guests will include Taylor Dayne and Nick Lowe & Los Straitjackets.
