Athens’ summer cultural season returns to the Megaron Concert Hall Garden this June, bringing a packed lineup of live music, open-air film screenings, family entertainment, and orchestral performances to one of the city’s most popular outdoor venues. The Megaron Garden is a staple of summers in the city, offering audiences live performances in an open-air setting. Visitors can sit on the lawn, enjoy drinks, and experience music and film in a relaxed atmosphere in the heart of Athens.
Running from June through July 2026, the program blends contemporary Greek music, jazz, world music, silent cinema accompanied by live performance, and free opera screenings under the stars.

The season opens on June 12 with a concert by Greek singer-songwriter Kostis Maravegias. Family audiences will also have the chance to watch a series of shadow theater performances inspired by “The Labors of Hercules,” featuring the iconic Greek folk character Karagiozis, across several dates in June and early July.
Among the highlights is a live music screening of Buster Keaton’s classic silent film “The General” on June 19, while jazz and crossover performances continue throughout the summer with artists including Idra Kayne and pianist Thodoris Oikonomou.

The venue will also host free UNITEL screenings of internationally acclaimed opera and classical music productions, including Giuseppe Verdi’s “Nabucco,” Gaetano Donizetti’s “Maria Stuarda,” and a concert by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra featuring violinist Augustin Hadelich, cellist Gautier Capuçon, and conductor Christian Thielemann.
Ticket prices start at €15 for general admission, while Karagiozis performances cost €10 and the Burger Project event is priced at €12. UNITEL screenings and the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra concert are free to the public.
