Marina Satti’s Appearance At Epidaurus Earns Standing Ovation

The play “The Suppliants” premiered on Friday evening, August 23rd, and those present at the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus experienced a unique evening. Marina Satti also appeared on the stage of Epidaurus and received a standing ovation from the audience.

Sixty-two years after the work’s first presentation at Epidaurus, the Karolos Koun Art Theatre and the New World Theatre presented Aeschylus’s tragedy with a stellar cast of actors: Lena Papaligoura, Loukia Michalopoulou, Giannis Tsortes, Akis Sakellariou, and the leading Greek tragedienne, Lydia Koniordou.

Exclusively for the performances at Epidaurus, Marina Satti joins the cast as a soloist, accompanied by the choristers from her own female choir, Chóres.

MinosEMI, the record company to which Marina Satti belongs, posted a video of the singer from her appearance at the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus on social media.

The audience members who watched the performance, as well as internet users, praised Marina Satti for her vocal abilities.
