WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF-TV) Greek food, music and culture is filling the air in Wheeling as the Grecian Fest continues for the second day.
The Grecian Fest at St. John the Divine Greek Orthodox Church has something for everyone, from good food, to live music and dancing.
They are also having demonstrations on how to cook Greek dishes and deserts, along with tours of the church sanctuary.
“We have Greek food of all kinds. We have outdoor, more or less street food where you find your gyros, tavern fries, Greek wings, frappes, Greek music and live entertainment.”

The food outside is only the beginning, so head inside the church where you will find pastries such as baklava, and traditional Greek dinners like chicken and lamb and grape leaves.
In addition to the food and music, the festival is a way to share the Orthodox Christian faith with the Ohio Valley and bring new members into the church.

There is also a Greek market where you can buy imported goods, souvenirs, olive oils and wine.
What Started 25 years ago as a one day event, has now grown into 3 days and is loved by the community.
“If you haven’t experienced the Grecian Fest ever, come down, try it. You’ll really like it. The common thing we hear is ‘Wow, your festival is so nice, we look forward to it every year.’ It’s different from the other festivals. It’s wholesome.”

The Grecian Festival runs until 9pm tonight, and the final day is tomorrow from 11am to 9pm.
