Based on Homer’s ancient Greek 7th-century BC epic, Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of The Odyssey will hit theaters on July 17, with a star-studded cast. Matt Damon stars as the titular Odysseus from the 2,700-year-old tale, while Tom Holland plays his son, Telemachus. Anne Hathaway portrays Penelope, the steadfast queen of Ithaca, whose unwavering loyalty to Odysseus is tested by more than a hundred suitors during his decades-long absence.

Lupita Nyong’o appears in a dual role as Helen of Troy—the face that launched a thousand ships, whose abduction by the Trojan prince Paris ignited the decade-long Trojan War—and her sister, Clytemnestra.

As Odysseus’s divine guide, Zendaya portrays Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom and strategic warfare, while Charlize Theron stars as the sea nymph Calypso. For centuries, these legendary women and their myths have inspired some of the most enduring motifs in fantasy jewelry, from natural diamond talismans to ancient symbols of power.

It’s no surprise, then, that throughout The Odyssey press tour, the film’s award-winning leading ladies have embraced jewelry worthy of mythology. Anne Hathaway has favored natural diamond jewels inspired by Ancient Rome, while Zendaya, Charlize Theron, and Lupita Nyong’o have dazzled in extraordinary creations fit for Greek goddesses.

Zendaya celebrated the Parisian premiere of The Odyssey in a theatrical white custom Louis Vuitton lace gown with a matching cropped bolero, created by Artistic Director of Women’s Collections Nicolas Ghesquière, that took over 800 hours to create. The Emmy-winner matched the drama of her dress with the Messika Miroir du Delta necklace from the jeweler’s latest High Jewelry Collection, “Terres de Contrastes.”

Featuring a 14-carat cushion-cut Tanzanite center stone, the necklace is completed with high-impact natural diamonds. She completed her ensemble with a pair of High Jewelry earrings and a High Jewelry ring by Messika.

Zendaya and Law Roach flexed their archival muscles at the Paris photocall, pulling out a beloved creation from Alexander McQueen’s debut Givenchy Spring / Summer 1997 Couture show, which featured Greek mythology-inspired gold and white designs. The actress added perfectly matching jewels by Fope, the luxury Italian jewelry brand known for its signature woven gold mesh designs.

She wore 18-karat yellow gold huggie earrings with three pavé diamond strips from the Panorama collection, paired with three Flex’it mesh yellow gold rings with pavé diamonds.

Just a few hours off the runway, Zendaya wore a Schiaparelli Fall / Winter 2026 Couture gown with a sculpted white breastplate (very on brand for the goddess of war) to display her captivating Chopard bib necklace, featuring a 12.37-carat diamond center stone and 76.11 carats of natural diamonds, set in 18-karat white gold. She teamed the show-stopping necklace with diamond stud earrings from the Haute Joaillerie Collection at the world premiere in London.

During the very same premiere, Zendaya changed into a second ensemble, but of course. The starlet sported a green, naturalistic Valentino gown from the Fall / Winter 2026 ready-to-wear collection, with Christian Louboutin heels, and ethereal Chopard chandelier earrings in 18-karat white gold, set with 26.82 carats of natural diamonds from the Haute Joaillerie Collection — the very same earrings she chose to wear to The Drama premiere back in March.

For the London photocall the day earlier, Zendaya donned the first custom Jacquemus “Le Bonheur” look, featuring an ivory halter neckline, a swooping back silhouette, and a matching scarf. The jewelry, however, was the star of her ensemble. Zendaya wore a pair of Glenn Spiro’s Ziwiye Gold Medallion Plaque Earrings from The Materials of the Old World, circa 1st millennium BC, Iran. Designed by Glenn Spiro in 2018, the yellow gold plate earrings are surrounded by a thin halo of natural diamonds and were acquired by Barron London in 2020, and remain part of the gallery’s personal collection.

She and her right-hand man, Law Roach, added a ring stack to the mix. Along with her diamond engagement ring from Tom Holland, she wore two Barron London Old Mine-cut diamond rings, mounted in 22-karat gold from the Twist collection.

A pregnant Anne Hathaway stepped out on the red carpet in a custom baby blue Christian Dior gown by Jonathan Anderson with Bulgari jewelry, styled by Erin Walsh. She donned two cocktail rings from the Italian jewelry house, as well as a pair of natural diamond and vibrant turquoise Diva’s Dream high jewelry earrings, inspired by the ancient Roman mosaics of the Baths of Caracalla.

Embodying the vivacious spirit of Rome, the fan-shaped motif of Bulgari’s Diva’s Dream pays homage to every woman’s inner diva, or queen. Hathaway will portray Penelope in The Odyssey, the mythological queen of Ithaca, known for her fidelity to her husband Odysseus, despite more than a hundred suitors vying for her attention during his absence.

The Academy Award-winning actress wore rose gold huggie hoop earrings, two dainty matching Serpenti wrap rings, and an 18-karat rose gold Monete Catene High Jewelry secret watch.

Featuring a chain bracelet set with natural diamonds, the silver coin bearing the effigy of Emperor Caracalla (who ruled from 198 to 217 AD) opens to reveal a mother-of-pearl dial and diamond indexes. Bulgari began incorporating 2,000-year-old coins into its creations in the 1960s, blending features of Rome’s Imperial glory with contemporary aesthetics.
