US President Donald Trump says he is open to selling the F-35 stealth fighter jets to Turkey and removing CAATSA sanctions. The announcement was made during the 36th NATO summit in Turkey’s capital, Ankara. It was Trump who removed Turkey from the F-35 project back in 2019, after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed a deal with Russia for S-400 air defence systems. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the deal would diminish Israel’s air superiority in the region, a concern also shared by Greece. Hem Kaur Saroya tells you more on #VantageOnFirstpost.
