WEIRTON, W.Va. — The smell of homemade Greek food and the sound of music will return to Weirton this summer as All Saints Greek Orthodox Church prepares for the 39th annual Weirton Greek Festival.
The festival is set for July 10, featuring homemade food and pastries, tours of the Byzantine-style church, music, dancing and fellowship.
“Primarily people come for the food and music and hospitality. But another big part of the Greek Orthodox community is our orthodox Christian faith. And so not only can you come and enjoy food and hospitality but you can learn about the beauty of the Orthodox faith through church tours or even just coming through our church and viewing our icons or lighting a candle or even saying prayers,” said Fr. Matthew Moore.
Pre-orders open at 9 a.m. June 15 and run through July 6. The festival will be held July 10 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
You can preorder here or by calling 304.797.9844 (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.).
