A note from Wild Card host Rachel Martin: You know Rita Wilson on screen in many ways. As Tom Hanks’ sister in “Sleepless in Seattle,” Arnold Schwarzenegger’s wife in “Jingle All The Way,” as Marnie’s mom in the show “Girls” and again as the mom in the Netflix show “Too Much.”
Behind the camera, Wilson has produced mega movie hits like “Mama Mia” and “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.” But it wasn’t until she was in her mid 50s that Rita Wilson figured out how to take center stage in her own life, and music made it happen.
She’s out with her newest album of original songs, it’s called “Sound of a Woman.”
