On Sunday, May 17th will be the last curtain call on the play ASTORIA set in Astoria, Queens. The show, housed in historic Pallas Theatre, immerses viewers in the world of Greek immigrants during the 1920s and 1930s, as families struggle to put down roots, survive hardship and preserve the memory of the homeland they left behind.
At the center of the story is a traditional café that becomes far more than a meeting place: it is a refuge for confession, hope and human connection. It is also where the limits of personal freedom are tested and where song is transformed into strength.
With a live orchestra on stage under the direction of Nikos Stratigos, ASTORIA becomes an immersive journey into the pulse of an entire era.
